Welcome to a new edition! The headline this week is of course: Halloween! But we also talk about Christmas, Sky Swings, and weirdly even Indiana Jones. Let’s go!
Halloween

Well yes it’s BEEN Halloween but now it’s actual Halloween Night! The “included in admission” special evening follows the recipe of the many pop up celebrations with special entertainment (starting with an extra Mickey’s Halloween Celebration performance by night), special character and an overall spooky atmosphere.

In Frontierland, the Phantom Manor projections were back – those are always very cool, and extra haunted Thunder Mesa with its citizens roaming around and the elusive Melanie Ravenswood.

It’s also where Guests could catch Oogie Boogie (if, as usual, they lined up very early)

Over in Adventureland the Galleon and Skull Rock were looking extra mysterious with custom lighting sequences.

And that’s also where Guests could find iconic duo Yzma and Kronk!

All evening, Disney Villains were running around and causing chaos along the way.

To close the night, Guests were treated to a performer of “Nightfall with the Disney Villains” that included the “big” fireworks.

While the Disney Villains waited to curse everyone goodnight from Main Street Station. Overall a well rounded night!

Disney Friends also celebrated Halloween all weekend at Disney Sequoia Lodge and Disney Hotel Santa Fe with some special outfits.

And it wouldn’t be a pop up celebration without the traditional collectible card.
The Disney Halloween Festival has now concluded, a bit of a transitional year with some new decor and a clear intent to have a new direction, but not a fully baked re-imagining just yet. Let’s see what 2027 has in store for this money making season, especially on the theming and entertainment fronts!
Christmas

Arendelle is clearly very excited for its first holiday season – the Christmas Tree was installed this week, and more decorations and landscaping.

The tree features a lot of cute Frozen details as you’d expect from the newest land in the Resort.

The Toy Story Gardens have also received some holiday (or at least wintry) landscaping.

Main Street was also discreetly starting to prepare for Christmas with the deployment of the garlands support cables.

And restaurants from Chalet de la Marionette to Walt’s and Auberge de Cendrillon have been discreetly getting ready as well.

At Disney Clothiers, preparations are underway in that little nook to welcome Santa in this new location. It’s promising to be a lot cuter and more immersive as the old one in Videopolis.
Disney Enchanted Christmas begins November 7, follow along all next week for the big switchover !
Sky Swings

The actual attraction is finally arriving for Up Sky Swings on Adventure Way, with the support structure and meter the first part of the top structure now in place.

The queue building and control tower are also making progress. This all may not be the most exciting thing in the world but it looks cute.

Disney shares a sneak peek at the install and backstage testing, as well as the creation of the art.
Construction and Refurbishments

Well, turns out “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril” will close for a major refurbishment on January 4, 2027 for several months focusing on:
- restoring and rebuilding the temple
- maintenance on tracks & supports
- queue renovation incl. stairs & woodwork
- lighting and theming
If you were hoping for it to be demolished to build Indiana Jones Adventure, a Moana or a Jungle Book attraction well.. sorry.

Over at Disneyland Park it’s finally happened: the Sleeping Beauty Castle has reopened ! It looks great. This also means fountains are back in Disney Tales of Magic.

Back at Disney Adventure World, the massive Lion King show building is growing.

And well – the Mickey and the Magician tarp is 2/3 of the way there. One day..

At Disney Village, aaaalllll the Casa Giulia signage has been installed. Looks good.
This and That..

Conductor Goofy will return, this time in Adventure Bay, for a “wacky musical experience featuring a one-of-a-kind aquatic orchestra”, from November 14, 2026 to March 14, 2027.
Does this mean the show barges will stay out all day ? Hopefully not.

And the latest TEA 2025 attendance estimates (pre-DAW) are out:
- in Europe, both Disneyland Paris parks are up 5.7%, Disneyland Park solidly in first place, Walt Disney Studios third.
- Worldwide, Magic Kingdom and Disneyland battle it out for first place, followed by a flurry of APAC parks.
