Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #243 – April 20 – May 3, 2026

Welcome to a new edition of the DLP Report! A double feature covering the last two weeks. While it’s back to “business as usual” for the Resort, we have some updates and a few celebrations. Let’s take a look!

World Safety At Work Day

The boat is back on Main Street! Again this year Disneyland Paris celebrated “World Safety at Work Day” when we appreciate all the Cast Members that make our days in the parks safer, each and every day! The occasion to see some of the more peculiar service vehicles right inside the Parks!

Some of them are sporting the Disney Security logo.

The occasion for Disney Friends who have something to do with safety (from near or far) to join the party including some rarer appearances like Bolt and Frozone.

Thank you for all you do!

May The 4th

Another yearly celebration is coming up very soon – May The 4th.. be with you. Again this year Discoveryland will host a special day of entertainment, with some of the offerings lasting through the month of May:

  • On May 4: R2D2, Stormtroopers, Darth Vader on Starport roof, The Imperial March + surprises
  • May 4-24: BDX Droids in Videopolis, meet The Mandalorian and Grogu, Chewbacca, Vader or Rey.

The stage is set at Videopolis for the BDX Droids show, under a slightly different format.

F&B also prepared some special snacks and menu with a Grogu donut, a green macaroon and a Thai flavored Grogu burger at Cafe Hyperion.

On the merchandise front, it’s of course all about The Mandalorian and Grogu, with the upcoming film release, but there’s also a cute set of BDX Droids!

Join live on Monday and in the next edition for a look at the celebration.

Construction and Refurbishments

We’ve got pillars! Construction continues to go vertical at The Lion King themed land with more visible panels.

Next doors contraction is making good progress at shkyy schwwiings.

And across the road the Regal View Lounge terrace opened for the season a few weeks ago, a lovely place to grab a cocktail.

Walls are down on part of the Voyages de Pinocchio refurbishment, revealing some lovely roofs and the long lost turret which has finally returned!

The Nautilus basins have gotten their periodic deep clean, shiny!

Chalet de la Marionette has debuted a new “Geppetto Accordion” dessert. It’s a mousse type thing with a speculos base and blueberry insert. As far as frozen stuff goes it’s not too bad. I know I’m selling it so well, they should let me write the menu descriptions.

Over at Disney Village, we’ve got bricks! Well, brick-like cladding at the new Italian restaurant Casa Giulia which is now moving along nicely. It’s slated to open by end of year.

One goes up and one goes down, with noooottt much left of the old McDonalds location. It’ll be, for now, replaced by a landscaped hill.

This and That..

Since World Premiere and Hollywood Gardens are supposed to be the site of movie premiere and galas , we’re now getting just that with some decorations for the opening of The Devil Wears Prada 2. Kinda torn on the idea… WDI worked hard with whatever they were given to make this place nicer and more coherent and this is a bit cheap.. but at the same time we always want more “synergy” in the parks.

In an effort to increase foot traffic in shops, there’s a new treasure hunt style game in Fantasyland.

And (more paper, but cute), a lovely new “kids fun map” of the Resort is now available from select locations, Guest Services and Disney Hotels.

And that’s the latest from Disneyland Paris! Thanks for joining us as always and in the meantime , May The 4th be wit
