Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #241 – April 2-12, 2026

We’re back! After a series of Special Reports (check out our full coverage of World Of Frozen , Adventure Way, and The Disney Adventure World Grand Opening !) we return to our regularly scheduled programming. For this edition we’ve got the list of B-list news from April 12, food updates and more. Let’s take a look!

April 12 News

Well first of all Happy 34th, Disneyland Paris! It feels like the 25th and 30th were just yesterday and look at us racing towards 35 already. For the occasion, Disney released a few news updates to keep us tied in before D23:

Upcoming Celebrations

Several limited time celebrations are coming up:

  • Star Wars with #MayThe4th, extending to May 24 for some offerings like the BDX Droids
  • A Pixar treasure hunt for mini Pizza Planet trucks trucks themed to various Pixar stories hidden at Worlds of Pixar in shops and attractions: from June 17
  • Stitch Day (and adjacent days): Jun 24-28
  • World Princess Week Aug 16-22

Upcoming Refurbishments

We got a first look at the test room for the new look of Disney Sequoia Lodge.

The design will take inspiration from Disney stories “from the forest”. The first rooms will be made available from Q1 2027.

And over at Plaza Gardens restaurant, we got a look at the new color scheme for the building, in the teal / green shades. As part of the refurbishment the restaurant will also receive new green float carpeting, pastel green tiles and a refurbished buffet with kids level access and added theming. All the seating will also be redone.

A lot of the work will also focus on something that’s been needed for almost all original 1992 buildings: roofing, waterproofing and facade work. These works will also include the First Aid and Baby Care facilities next door which will temporarily move to the former AP Office space. What hasn’t been done in that space !

Disney Adventure World Princess Cavalcade

A new concept art for the Raya float was unveiled and an opening date: July 24!

The Raya concept art joins Moana, meaning we now have seen 2 of the 4 units. The production will feature 2 original songs and run from The Lion King Parade Gate to Regal View and back, with an interactive show stop.

Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings

Disney has revealed the name for the upcoming Up attraction on Adventure Way and it’s a mouth full: Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings (surely to be known as just Sky Swings)

We got a look at the ongoing construction and a peek as additional concept art for the entrance. It opens in 2027.

“Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland”

A bit of a left field one: you won’t get rid if the Queen so easily. “Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland” returns in Spring 2027 to add capacity during the anniversary year. Most show investments are budgeted for multiple seasons, so here we are.

Disney Village

Over at Disney Village the endless transformation continues with this new concept art of Casa Giulia. The 120 seats Italian eatery will open late 2026.

Two other timelines were confirmed: Pelé Soccer that nobody asked for will open in May 2026 and the new Disney Wonders shop replacing The Disney Store this summer 2026. Seems optimistic but they have historically been able to fit the other Disney Village shops pretty quickly (no ceiling heeyyy).

And that’s it for April 12 this year.

Food

Quite a few changes in the food department lately so let’s take a look:

Breakfast at Regal View

Breakfast service has now open at the Regal View Restaurant, priced at a hefty €60

We tried the sweet option which maybe isn’t the best choice as you only get a few sad pancakes, fruit and an – arguably beautiful – croissant. Princess interactions are as always lovely but compared to dinner service, the value may not be entirely there.

Breakfast at Auberge

Mickey has a new costume and is now appearing regularly at Auberge de Cendrillon. That’s the news really as the food is still basic. Disneyland Paris really needs to up the portions and quality on these breakfast offerings (but at the same time it’s always full so..).

Adventure Way Food Chalets

The food chalets have opened on Adventure Way! Located next to Cafe Luminosity, the 5 chalets serve an array of sweet and savory treats, beer and wine. and bonus: the resort planned a well organized queue system for each, so no more messy queuing everywhere!

It seems the third party company that operates these chalets has upped its game a bit for this new location – the snacks are still pricey but they are good quality and fun.

Here are some of the menus for the current offerings.

Sweet Delights

What would any section on Disneyland Paris food without SHORTBREAD! The “Sweet Delights” window has opened on World Premiere Plaza (formerly Hollywood Blvd) and serves an array of Marvel and Pixar shortbreads. They’re cute. They taste as you’d expect. Nothing groundbreaking here (Pixar cookies are €5 each)

Disney Cascade of Lights Reserved Viewing

Reserved Viewing for Disney Cascade of Lights has opened in front of the Regal View terrace (lakeside level only).

Check in and the overall experience was great but of course if you’ve seen Disney Cascade of Lights you know that Adventure Bay has even designed to maximize viewing areas all around the marina. So as long as you’re lined up with one of the 4 projectors you can probably save your coins, at least until there’s a time of year or new show that is extremely popular.

Maintenance and Refurbishments

A new visual for Rhythms of the Pride Lands. Gone is the artistic drawing, replaced by a photo of the production. Maybe to give guests a better idea of what it is.

Some is the DLP30 moving sculptures have been removed FINALLY.

And Star Tours returned from a month long refurbishment that focused on fixing and deep cleaning the cabins and queue. Some of the queue effects have returned as well.

This and That..

The beautiful original Space Mountain trains model is now on sale at Deco by Disney and Harrington’s. It’s a limited edition 800 priced at €199.

And rejoice! The Adventure Way Symphonic Suite is now available on most streaming platforms.

And that’s the news on this 34th Anniversary! Thanks for reading as always and I will see you again soon for a new edition.
