Welcome to a new edition! This week we welcomed the Disney Princess Cavalcade, covered some Disney Village news, oh yeah and saw NPH!
Disney Princess Cavalcade
Make way! The Disney Princess Cavalcade has officially premiered on the Disney Adventure World Parade Route this week.
The new production features some of the latest and more “adventurous” Princesses in what may be the first entertainment offering in Disney Adventure World to be about.. adventure.
Four times a day, Moana, Tiana, Rapunzel and Raya make their way to new adventure aboard some lovely little floats full of details.
They’re joined by a cast of marching dancers who bring the energy with props and guest interactions during a show stop.
Disneyland Paris President Christophe Murphy and WDI Portfolio Executive David Wilson were on stage on premiere day to check out the new offerings.
For the occasion, Tiana debuted her new dress in Paris.
“Make My Way” the traveling song for the show, is available on streaming platforms and already a hit with everyone!
Overall the Disney Princess Cavalcade has been very well received. It’s quickly become a staple of a day at Disney Adventure World and has been praised for the quality the floats, costumes, the energetic choreography, and the catchy soundtrack. Well done Cast and Crew!
Disney Village
Some random news out of Disney Village this week with the concept art for the future of the Gaumont Cinema.
The venue will start being re-imagined at the end of 2026 and into 2027 while staying open. It’ll feature a new facade, new lobby, and refurbished theaters with recliners and technical upgrades. It will also be rebranded to the consolidated parent company: Pathé.
While the cinema definitely needs an upgrade and it’s great that it’s happening, the design has not particular been a hit, often described as bland and unremarkable. But maybe we do want it to blend in more as it’s not a particular interesting building ? The Disney Village remodel has been about refreshing the district with a more modern “pop” Disney vibe, and this fits right into it. Magic is for the Parks, Disney Village is for entertainment and after hours fun.
It’s also been announced that the Vapiano restaurant will be refurbished gradually while staying open. It very much needs it after 10 years (already).
In the ground, work is progressing quickly at Disney Wonders with the Sports Bar windows now unveiled. This is planned for a mid September opening.
Also near Disney Wonders, the final supports are in place for the Star Wars artwork.
Disney Sequoia Lodge
This week we also got a new look at the refurbished and re-imagined rooms for Disney Sequoia Lodge – another controversial topics as they don’t particularly feature a ton of Disney touches, instead prioritizing efficiency and modernity. Time will tell.
Disney also warned that some public areas like the shop and the bar will start closing for refurbishment from February 19, 2027.
The new rooms will start being available for booking mid September for stays in Q1 2027.
Construction and Refurbishments
As the Plaza Gardens refurbishment progresses, the fountain has been refurbished.
The Castle Stage balcony has also reopened, with a slightly updated design for the stairs.
And just across the way, the second “Star” light fixture has finally returned after being damaged many months ago.
Down the road, new Welcome and See You Later signs in Gaeilge have been added to “it’s a small world”, representing Ireland.
This and That..
Neil Patrick Harris visited Disneyland Paris this week and has been spotted shooting some sequences around the parks. As he will host the Disney Parks and Experiences panel this year at D23, it could be assumed that part of his visit was related to the content we will see on August 15. Can’t wait!
Neil was hosted by Minnie in her lovely Adventure Way dress. She will soon be meeting Guests in that outfit.
