Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #198 – April 7-13, 2025

Welcome to a new edition of the DLP Report! Boy did we have some news for you this week. We of course covered all the April 12 announcements but also took a look at Boardwalk Candy Palace, ongoing projects and more. Let’s go!

April 12

As with every year, plenty of news were shared at the media conference on April 12. To learn more about Disney Adventure World construction, the new Up spinner, Lion King Attraction, World Premiere, Disney Sequoia Lodge and Disney Davy Crockett Ranch refurbishment, Rivers of the Far West, check out our SPECIAL REPORT and to read our thoughts after touring the Disney Adventure World construction site, IT’S RIGHT HERE!

Boardwalk Candy Palace

This week we welcomed back Boardwalk Candy Palace, now sponsored by M&M’s. The location received a complete overhaul and modernization and while we have lost some elements of theming like the circus tent ceiling, most of the key elements like the back wall mural have remained.

Some of the cool new elements of decor include a new floor reminiscent of the beach – complete with blue pool tiles on the edges to remind of the sea, and some new hot air balloons using little M&M’s as weights. There’s also of course a big self serve M&M’s wall (be careful the plastic cups are cute but they are €3 EXTRA!) and the candy pick and mix remains in the back left.

In terms of pastries and snacks there are surprisingly absolutely none featuring M&M’s. However there are two new snacks (rice crispies and corn flakes for €5) and a dense and sweet Bento cake to share which wasn’t our favorite of these cake to share series – plus where and how are you supposed to eat it.

On Friday we were invited my Mars Group for the ribbon cutting.

And for the occasion all the Main Street residents gathered and rejoiced. It was great to see such a big production, fantastic costumes and generally, what is possible.

Inside, they had.. M&M’s treats, only for this event. You can’t make this up. They were delicious.

Our thanks to Mars for this super extra shop opening!

Disney Music Festival

It’s almost time for the Disney Music Festival! Debuting April 19, the season will feature a laundry list of smaller happenings throughout the parks and a few larger shows + a big finale on Central Plaza.

The Disney Music Hits Concert is one of these larger shows, hosted at Videopolis. Four live singers with a fantastic live band perform modern versions of classic Disney songs from classics, 90’s and more recent films like Zootopia. While the set would be perfect for Disney Channels hits – there are none (where are Hanna Montana, Descendants etc? And do we reaaalllyyy need yet another version of The Bare Necessities). Performances are strong and the stage is decked out in lights which give the production energy and excitement. Daft Punk Chip and Dale are absolutely hilarious, but kinda come out of nowhere, a bit unrelated to the rest of the show. But really cool that we’re a Resort that green lights such a wacky idea! Check out our full video above.

In the parks, additional elements of decor have been added to the locations for the shows – here for the Matadance.

.. for Moana ..

.. for Miguel ..

..and for Rapunzel.

Out Of Home advertisement was also released around Paris.. leveraging the lyrics of iconic Disney songs.

The Disney Music Festival launches next weekend so meet us back here and our socials for all the coverage!

Petite Rosalie

Just in time for the nicer days, Petite Rosalie, the Rosalie terrace space by Lake Disney, has opened. It offers a selection of dishes, snacks and drinks during the warmer months. The setup is a little basic but it’s nice to have a new place to hang out.

Here is the menu, if you’re looking to try it out!

Cheers.

Construction and Refurbishments

Walls have moved at “World Premiere Plaza”, the new name for the area outside World Premiere + Toon Studio + Production Courtyard, revealing an entire new section that really opens up Terrace Perrier and its surroundings. Finally some space!

In front of Animation Celebration, the new planter featuring the Toon Studio Mickey statue and the smaller bronze character statues has also been unveiled. Question tho – Mickey will be with Walt a few meters away as well? That’s a lot of Mickey statues in a small area when there are so many places to put them.

At night it all becomes extra magical thanks to spot lighting and twinkle lights in the trees – these lights will also be in the trees all along Adventure Way. Simple yet effective, well done.

We also shared some photos from progress at Disney Adventure World, but check out the official ones in our special report as well!

Over at Disneyland Park Orbitron is under refurbishment yet again. They seem to have a lot of issues with it in recent times.

Walls have also moved at Disney Village, revealing another piece of the puzzle for the security screening area.

And at the Sports Bar, the skylight has been removed and is resting on the ground. It will be replaced with a new one.

And that’s all the news on this busy busy week at Disneyland Paris! Thanks for reading and thanks to everyone we got to see during the weekend. See you back here next time for a look at the Disney Music Festival!
