Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #192 – February 10-16, 2025

And we’re back with a new edition of the DLP Report. This week was Valentines Day and the Captain America release, plus we of course look at progress on all the projects. Let’s go!

V Day

As with most years, the Resort did a little bit extra for Valentines Day. It started with a dessert at Victoria’s which is fairing prettt well when it comes to expectations vs. reality.

There was also a surprise pin, special snacks and cocktails at the Disneyland Hotel and balloon photo locations at the Disneyland Hotel and Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.

Disney Royal couples also came out to celebrate the occasion.

And our favorite throuple: Chip, Dale and Clarice. A nice day to celebrate love in all its forms, because love is love.

Merica

This week was the release of Captain America: Brave New World, and Disneyland Paris claimed to have done a big “celebration” with this wonderful drone who – except no one saw it, it was only performed after hours for the filming of this promotion. Did they think the general public was going to think this was a current offering? What a waste.

Food wise, the hot dogs turned red.

Guests could also pick up some surprise collectible cards.

And some limited snacks at the Skyline Bar. Some expectations didn’t fair as well against reality here.

We also tried all the cocktails obviously!

It is what it is.

Construction and Refurbishments

This week Songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez recently visited the construction site of World Of Frozen at Disney Adventure World. What we really see here is a new angle in the background for progress on the contraction site.

Overall the Disney Adventure World is a a real beehive with activity everywhere. Some areas feel like they could open tomorrow (they won’t), others feel they’re never gonna be ready. As often with these projects, a lot looks unfinished until the finals details are in at the last minute and then it’s done. Remember Galaxy’s Edge?

At World Of Frozen we’ve got some final touches on facades and the snowy peeks are coming together.

What’s cool to see is the amount of ongoing projects for the details of the gardens that span around the lake. Lampposts, railings, rock work, gardens, gazebos… so much.

The rotating bridge to World Of Frozen is also finally operational – it’ll open at night to let the floating LED screens barges in for the show.

On the ground, the Animation Celebration building has reopened with some musical chairs. The Frozen meet and greet is now in the Zoetrope room, the Zoetrope is in the preshow room, and the former meet and greet space is where they’ll put the

Nearby, lighting fixtures are on for the World Premiere facade. I hear birds sing.. cheap cheap.

The mural that was being painted just in front of that facade as a backdrop to the soreness statue has been painted over. Good that the creative team realized in time it was going the wrong way. Personally I would have envisioned something classier and more durable like a lovely handmade mosaic wall. But who am I to say.

Work has also progressed at the Animagique Theater which is being renovated ahead of a new season of Mickey and the Magician in April.

Not a ton going on a Disneyland Park – Big Thunder Mountain is moving through the process of its 6 months long renovation.

And the first new PAD – Popcorn Animated Doll has appeared in Fantasyland – it’s Mr. Toad!

Quite a bit going on at Disney Village: the new shops of course, repaving, foundation work for the new Italian restaurant and the new lakeside terrace! Can’t wait for the area to be clean and coherent.

Foundation work for the new McDonalds has also progressed quite a bit.

This and That..

This week we tried a few of the new food offerings so you don’t have to.

Some of the new breakfast options at Annette’s: the “salty” and “sweet” breakfasts plates. They’re €19 with drinks and while none of this is repulsing, for the price you’d expect a little bit more .. abundance.

Do you like beige food dipped in a microscopic amount of sauce? Head to The Lucky Nugget for this €25 menu (with drink and ice cream sundae).

And that’s everything new this week at Disneyland Paris ! Thanks for following along and I will see you back here soon!
