Special Report: Disneyland Paris News at the D23 Disney Experiences Showcase

The bi-annual grand mass of Disney reveals just took place tonight at the Honda Center – for the first time – as part of the D23 Expo.
As with every edition, Disneyland Paris fans await anxiously to see if our Resort will be mentioned at all and well this year was a pretty decent haul. Grab a drink, let’s go.

Lion King Land

We FINALLY know what the third new land will be for Disney Adventure World and the swirling rumors were indeed true: we will be visiting the Pride Lands in a brand new exclusive Lion King themed land!

The land (which doesn’t seem to have an official name yet) will feature a big headliner Attraction: a high capacity boat ride that will take us through the story of the (1994) animated classic. On the menu: animatronics, big sets, and Pride Rock and an anchor. The model of Disney Adventure World will be updated in the morning.

The land will also feature character meet and greets, dining and shopping. It’s a little sad that we’re getting once again a single attraction land but I’m sure all will be forgiven when this ultra popular franchise with European Guests makes its debut.

No opening timeframe yet of course, but construction begins in 2025!

Disney Adventure World Nighttime Show

In addition to placemaking, Adventure Bay was of course made for SHOWS. Tonight we got a first look at the project the teams are working on for the time the area opens (presumably with World of Frozen)

This mega production will feature water screens, projections, light shows, special effects and all-new “Water Drones” in partnership with trusted tech partner Dronisos. Not many details as to what exactly these water drones will do but it sounds exciting and might help solidifying Disneyland Paris’ leader position on this show technology.

World of Frozen: Defrosting 2026

Despite great visible project from our construction updates, a lot is left to be done at World of Frozen and Disney Adventure World as a whole. As a result World of Frozen is now slated to open in 2026 – with no mode precision for now.

The Disney Adventure World project is not only one land but a big placemaking effort with intricate infrastructure and backstage support areas to be built and tested. It also includes the “Raiponce Tangled Spin”spinner and “Regal View Restaurant and Lounge”.

New Nighttime Show at Disneyland Park: January 2025

Still now new Attraction but Disneyland Park but the park is getting a brand new and exclusive nighttime spectacular as early as January 2025!

The show will feature for the first time immersive projections on Main Street, a show element that has been a staple of the US Resorts for years and of course – drones!

The show will use an array of media and special effects to bring beloved stories and iconic nostalgia to life. Looking forward to hear more details and experience this new show in just a few months.
