Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #221 – September 29 – October 5, 2025

Welcome to a new edition of the DLP Report! This week, all eyes are on the Halloween Festival launch but we also of course take a look at all the ongoing projects. Let’s go!

It’s Halloween

On a Wednesday! This year Disneyland Paris decided to stick to the calendar with a mid week launch for the Halloween Festival. While largely unchanged, there are still a few new tidbits, and it’s generally nice to welcome back the spooky season.

New This Year

When life gives you a saloon, make it spooky. The Lucky Nugget becomes the UNlucky Nugget this year. The concept is a spooky overlay of Melanie’s doomed wedding and while there are more plot holes in this story than a tray of donuts, the set is really well done and comes to life with a shadow pianist, changing portrait and plenty of little details.

In particular the gift notes are hilarious with a “head off” reference from HBG – the Hat Box Ghost.

Food wise you’re still at Disneyland Paris. It’s not offensive but it’s your classic seasonal menu style, with cocktail options.

The Leota dessert is fun. And overall you’ll have a fun time in this limited edition overlay.

And here’s the menu.

Next in “new this year”, Main Street Projections. The hit of the season! Using the new tech installed for Disney Tales of Magic, Main Street ghosts come out to play at nightfall with a series of spooky sequences, some with some really great effects like lights and smoke!

What a fantastic idea that brings some energy to Main Street.

Check out your YouTube video of all the sequences just above!

New in the character department this year we have a new location for Jack and Sally.

You’ll now find them at the back of Frontierland with a great new set, and (love it or hate it) a virtual queue.

On Parade, Donald welcomes Jose and Panchito on his float this year, and Chip & Dale have received new outfits on the Illusion Manor unit.

Mickey’s Halloween Celebration

Are you Team Phantom?

Or are you Team Harvest?

Whichever you are it’s lovely to see this cast of character back on the parade route. The parade has been due for a major re-imagining for a while and while it’s clearly not this year, it could be the next so let’s enjoy it while we have it !

Characters

Disney Friends celebrate the season as usual with their fun costumes.

With the new Main Street Gazebo now operational, Stitch has received a new backdrop and props. It’s very “classroom”, a vibe.

Let’s not forget the Disney Villains of course who are “terrorizing” Fantasyland on the daily.

Food

Halloween food this year is more of the same. Snacks, themed burgers, mousse desserts, cake to share and themed snacks at Victoria’s. Nothing too offensive – oh wait

These Vanilla eclairs unveiled at D23 don’t quite look like the original idea. They’re also pretty soggy and tasteless.

M&M’s

Official Partner M&M’s this year is inviting guests on a treasure hunt across the lands. Find the 5 mysterious doors and you can claim a discount at Boardwalk Candy Palace and a little pack of candy.

While the game is easy and geared towards children, some of the props are pretty well done and the work that went into this is appreciated.

You’ll also find some Halloween themed chocolate M&M’s at Boardwalk Candy Palace.

So welcome back, spooky season (and don’t miss those super cool Main Street Projections!)

Construction & Refurbishments

We start as always at Disney Adventure World which is racing towards its Spring 2026 opening. No exact date in sight, you’ll need quite a bit of patience. Some of the Cast Members will be joining the opening team in December for their first trainings.

At “Raiponce Tangled Spin”, the gold topper has arrived – it’s Pascal!

Additional details are also being added to the “Regal View Restaurant and Lounge”.

And closer to the front the kiosk’s ornaments have been painted gold.

The bins are here, ready to be deployed.

Adventure Way is now regularly lit at night. So close yet so far!

Just outside, walls have moved once again to reveal another resurfaced area. We’re in “it is what it is and it is better than what was before” territory here.

At Avengers Campus, the projection booth has returned for the Dr. Strange show, returning soon.

Looking at Disneyland Park, the temporary control room is out from behind walls. It’ll replace the main one while it gets refurbished.

Over at Disney Village it’s another incredible progress pic for McDonald’s which now has all the windows installed, work ongoing inside, and preparation for the wood cladding.

On the main throughway, the LED light bars are now active on the new shop’s awning. A cool little detail?

Quite a bit of commotion over the Resort this week as well with storms bringing strong winds – trees down, construction walls knocked over and adapted parade performances were on the menu. But everyone is safe.

On top of the is, the back of Frontierland had to close on Friday for emergency repairs as it appeared a utility pipe had burst. All is well and back to normal now.

This and That..

Everyone’s favorite cuties Chip and Dale will unveil a merchandise collection on October 13 that match new “winter hoodies” costumes. A collab between the merchandise and entertainment freaks at Disneyland Paris.

And that’s our spooky report this week! Thanks as always for reading and sharing and I will see you again soon with the latest from Disneyland Paris !
