Hi everyone, and welcome to a new edition of the DLP Report! This week we are on the lighter side again as the Resort is on a holding pattern ahead of the school holidays. Let’s take a look!
Make it Pop
The “pop-up surprises” offering for Disneyland Pass holders is back and this time around Guests will get to meet Miguel and Mirabel!
While nothing exceptional, the photo location has received a nice little set. You can meet them until March 2, subject to availability which currently is not good.
Construction and Refurbishments
An interesting news in construction this week is this Mary Blair inspired metallic curtain art installed at Disney Village for the “Disney Glamour” shop. Nice to see the designers have thought to include out of the box ideas to give the area a little something special. It looks like the design will have some kinetic elements, moving slightly with the wind and reflecting the sun.
Right next door a big square sign is being installed and you know that means LEGO Store logo. These shops were meant to open end 2024 and currently in “Q1 2025” but let’s face it, it’s already February.
And we stay on theme over at Walt Disney Studios Park with more art being created – this time it’s a mural featuring Disney Adventure World franchises that will serve as a backdrop for the Partners Statue. An interesting idea.. let’s see how this turns out, it feels it has the potential to be either fantastic or terrible and nothing in between.
It’ll be located at the new entrance – exit of the park – side of World Premiere.
It feels like we’re slowly getting out of the woods with the repaving of Toon Studio, but then this happens. The grates are temporary so hopefully the new ones arrive soon.
The slicing off of Animagique Theater is complete – some red highlights were added since this photo was taken. It is what it is.
Over at Disneyland Park, a poster is tastefully showing off the new M&M’s sponsorship for Boardwalk Candy Palace. There’s no official reopening date but we expect it early April.
On The Menu
We got a couple menu updates this week. First at The Lucky Nugget with a new vegan menu (which apparently hasn’t been very well received – shocker) and the chicken tenders from Hakuna Matata. Over at Annette’s there’s a €2 price hike for the existing breakfast menu and 3 new options, all at €19.
This and That..
Congratulations to our friends at Hong Kong Disneyland who have teased their 20th Anniversary program: a new day parade (what a dream, can we have one too?), a new daytime Castle Show, and the addition of drones to their fantastic nighttime show “Momentous”. It all starts this summer.
