Welcome to a new – double – edition of the DLP Report! Over the last couple week we got some news from Halloween (and a little Christmas), an Attraction.. update, and the usual project tracking. Let’s take a look!
The Divorce
After almost 35 years of soulless waving, the end scene of Blanche Neige et les Sept Nains has been updated.
We’re technically losing two legacy animatronics as Snow White has been replaced by a static figure, and the Prince has disappeared. With that said, the animatronics were very dated and a bit off brand so this brings the attraction in line with current standards.
While the Prince is no longer in the final scene, he’s been painted onto the mural at the end of the Attraction. Looks like he got to keep the horse in the divorce.
Apart from these changes, the Attraction has been spruced up as with every refurbishment and it looks great!
It’s Halloween
No, it really (although our US friends are almost there) but it’s the time of year when we start hearing about what’s in store for this year, starting with this new visual starring Donald.
Looks like Donald will be one of the big stars this year as he debuts a brand new costume!
We will also see the return from the dead of the UNLucky Nugget, the Halloween overlay for the restaurant, with maybe some improvements or additions.
In the character meet and greet department, Dr. Faciliter will be in his updated outfit, and it will also be the return of the Jack and Sally meet and greet + of course a selection of your favorite Disney Friends in their Halloween costumes.
In terms of decorations, Main Street Station will get a brand new overlay this year finally – it’s sharper, and with New Orleans influences.
Other than these changes and confirmed returning features, Mickey’s Halloween Celebration is expected to return largely unchanged – I guess 2026 isn’t the year EITHER when we will get a full Halloween Parade refresh. Oh well, it’s always fun to see our favorites back.
Shows & Seasons
A few dates were also recently released:
The annual “World Princess Week” will take place a bit earlier this year, from August 15 to August 23. Expect special happenings, meet and greets, food and merch.
The current run of “A Million Splashes of Colour” will end on September 6.
While nothing official has been announced, it’s unlikely that it would return in 2027 (or ever?) given the DisneylandParis35 celebrations.
The “Sleeping Beauty Royal Waltz” production on Castle Stage will conclude on September 10.
French sports retailer Decathlon is organizing a private fun run in Disney Adventure World before opening on September 27, featuring a 375m race for kids and 4.21km for adults. But you can’t buy ticket for this: 300 Guests will be selected via a contest (French residents only).
The 2026 Disney Halloween Festival runs from September 26 to November 1.
And here’s a new visual for Disney Enchanted Christmas featuring a new design for the Christmas Tree and World Of Frozen in the background. November 7, 2026 to January 6, 2027. There will be for sure more news about the season soon.
Construction and Refurbishment
We start at Fort Comstock for a change, where walls are up for an update which could include general safety and maintenance but also an update to some of the show scenes given a lot are still originals.
Walls are also up behind Space Mountain. Yes, Space Mountain. Oh and also for the passage between Discoveryland and Fantasyland.
There are some buildings refurbishments ongoing in Adventureland.
Crews were checking out the Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge refurbishment, with theoretically about another month to go before the reveal.
Scaffolding is down on Castle Stage after the waterproofing works completed. Phew.
And the Plaza Gardens Fountain is now a planter. Blame climate change.
Over at Disney Adventure World, a lot of progress is being made at the Up Sky Swings attractions with theming and facade / show building details coming together nicely. Don’t get your hopes up though, marketing won’t let it open until next year.
It’s the Up + Lion King mashup!
At Disney Village we’re tracking progress on Disney Wonders – and it’s good! With many facade elements in place, including the Peter Pan and pixie dust design. The new shop is slated for September.
Across the street, a new “GIULIA” fresco has been painted at Casa Giulia.
And scaffolding is growing on Annette’s Diner for the refurbishment of the iconic roof.
It’s been a while since we posted about the Disneyland Hotel. This photo location has been updated with banners from Disney Adventure World.
And the next phase of conversion from single to double carriageway, a traffic capacity increase option built in the original masterplan, is underway for the road between Disney Hotel Sequoia Lodge and Newport Bay Club, including a second bridge over the Lake Disney Marina. Nice to see the resort continues to adjust roadway capacity for the future.
