And we are back with a new edition. This week we celebrated Bastille Day, got a peek at the Princess Cavalcade, and more. Let’s take a look!
Bastille Day
As with every year, Disneyland Paris put together a special show for Bastille Day on July 14.
And as with recent years, Dronisos and the Live Entertainment team stepped up to create something big and unique.
No one can deny that the drone figures were kneed again IMPRESSIVE, especially the giant Mushu wrapped around Sleeping Beauty Castle, and all the subtle light and movement effects that keep these drone shows wow’ing Guests.
With that said, a lot of Guests were puzzled at the story – or lack thereof. It felt like the creative teams picked the (impressive) drone figures first and then figured out what kinda song to add to them. The result was a bit of a disjointed Disney-Illumination-Style clip show that overall didn’t have a ton to do with Bastille Day. Add to this the lack of fireworks – as per government ban due to the heatwave and wildfires – and maybe it wasn’t, despite the impressive tech, the strongest Bastille Day we’ve had.

Throughout the day, Disneyland Paris Cast Members waved the French Flag
And of course there was a special Champagne bar on Main Street.
To finish the day, Mickey and Minnie waved good night from Main Street Station in their Parisian outfits. And that’s Bastille Day 2026!
Disney Princess Cavalcade
Late Saturday night, or rather Sunday morning, Disneyland Paris Cast Members got the chance to attend and share one of the final rehearsals of the Disney Princess Cavalcade, set to debut on July 24 at Disney Adventure World.
The show features four short but gorgeous floats for Rapunzel, Moana, Tiana and Raya, set to a punchy theme song, with zoned audio for each float.
Each unit comes with a set of matching dancers, as they travel from the “Lion King Gate” to the Regal View roundabout (where they invite guests to join in and dance) before turning back around.
The floats feature some fantastic little details and are definitely a step up from what we’ve been seeing in recent times – looking at you “A Million Splashes of Colour”.
While short and sweet (it’s a cavalcade classification), it packs a punch and brings to Adventure Way what it really needed: more Disney! You can see videos of each unit across our social media platforms.
A fantastic, fun and high quality production that will for sure become a favorite. We can’t wait to see more when it officially debuts from July 24!
Construction and Refurbishments
Legs stay at Disney Adventure World with a look at progress on the Up Sky Swings attraction. The “scratch coat” I’m told it’s called, is being applied to the show building.
Across the lake, these perfectly integrated water misters are exactly what’s needed this summer, well done!
At Disneyland Park, category is Castle Stage can’t catch a break. The back of the refurbished stage (which houses backstage rooms) is having waterproofing issues so remediation works are ongoing.
The result is this themed tarp as a backdrop to the Sleeping Beauty Royal Waltz which is not horrible but also not ideal, especially with the sun shining behind.
Across the plaza it’s all back to normal now as the temporary show control room has been removed.
Around Lake Disney, refurbishment of the base is complete for Tony, and ongoing for Carol.
We also took a look at the ongoing grounds refurbishment at Disney Hotel Cheyenne which are finally starting to wrap up.
This and That..
There’s a new “Best Day Ever” merchandise collection. Eh.
And just like London, Disneyland Paris was hit by the Lorcana drop craziness with many individuals, often scalpers, pushing and jumping over fences. Come on now…
