Welcome back to a new report! Short and sweet as Sabrina would say, we’ve got International Women’s Day and a whole lot of drama. Let’s take a look!
International Women’s Day

If the entrance planter is set to Minnie, you know what it means: International Women’s Day is right around the corner! As with previous years to various degrees, Disneyland Paris has been celebrating this year.

And most of the celebration on the Guest side is thanks to the Characters departments who invited iconic women from across the Disney Franchises. From Asha to Pocahontas and of course the Disney Princesses, Marvel and Pixar strong women, it was great to experience something special.
Map Drama

On a random weekday your phone probably updated the Disneyland Paris app but I bet you weren’t ready for the carnage that happened to the digital parks map. It appears that the resort has decided to ditch the perfectly drawn maps for an AI generated on that was overplayed from pandemic times google aerial photos. The result is a lot of flat and distorted buildings, social distancing markers or contrition walls drawn as planters and a whole lot of oddities if you really zoom in.

Here’s the striking difference in Frontierland as an example. Sure it’s not the end of the world but it’s sad to lose a perfectly good asset for a lesser quality one. Guess it’s cheaper.
Drones Drama

Disneyland Paris has officially announced that from April 1, drones will permanently stop being featured in Disney Tales of Magic. A big loss for sure as the technology did add some value to the experience and was very much something Guests were looking for. And that’s the issue mostly – the unreliability of high altitude drones has been causing a lot of issues with guest satisfaction which is understandable if you only get to see the show once and weather / wind cancels the drones. It’s also probably saving some money.

Talking about drones, newspaper Le Figaro got a backstage look at the “duck drones” that will float on Adventure Bay as part of the new show “Cascade of Light”. Obviously it’ll take a lot to ever cancel those because of weather, but the other – aerial – drone fleet will also be a lot more reliable, as they will fly much lower with better control. So in the end, it should be very rare that Cascade of Lights cannot feature drones, as opposed to Disney Tales of Magic which sometimes does not have them for days.
Additionally, note that Disney Tales of Magic will be temporarily modified from May 4 to end Sep 2026 to allow for a Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge refurbishment – which is good news and much needed!
Construction and Refurbishment

This week, the new and expanded Studio Services location was unveiled. It’s completely refurbished and will be able to handle the additional complaint capacity of Disney Adventure World.

Right next door, the park has also received a brand new Baby Care center, also providing better service and additional capacity. Also that wallpaper!! So welcome back Studio Services and Baby Care Cast!

At the Disney Hotels, we got a new look at details from the Disney Sequoia Lodge model rooms as part of the property’s ongoing phased refurbishment. Rooms will celebrate Disney Friends who “call the forest home” including characters from Bambi and Brave. Cute!
This and That..

The map is not the only update the Disneyland Paris app has received. It seems the food mobile ordering flow has been improved – particularly. You’ll still need to use that AWFUK third part website embedded into the app but there’s now a new section in your account to view your orders and tell the Cast when you’ve arrived. Any progress is welcome ont that front!
