Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #206 June 2-8, 2025

Welcome to a new edition of the DLP Report! It’s been a week on cruise control at the Resort as Summer slowly settles in. Let’s take a look at what’s new!

Pride

Happy Pride month! The 2025 collection has arrived in shops with a limited number of items compared to previous years: a t-shirt (€26), headband (€35), cap (€30), and lanyard (€13).

Instead of putting them in the sales, the Pride collection from previous years comes back out of the stock room, which in the end isn’t a bad idea. You can find the Spirit Jersey and a selection of franchise items.

Nothing has been announced (if it ever is) for Pride celebrations at Disneyland Paris but on previous years, and after the Resort stopped throwing private parties, it usually consisted of a Cast Member and Characters cavalcade during Paris Pride weekend, which this year is June 28-29.

Construction and Refurbishments

It’s finally happened. After being announced in October 2023, the Casey’s Corner covered terrace has finally opened to Guests. Bet they’re all happy this project, which has (believe it or not) faced many issues due to where it is located, is done.

At Big Thunder Mountain it’s the finally stretch before reopening on June 21. Scaffolding has come down on some of the renovated woodwork, and divers were removing the retention walls around the splashdown. Everything that has been done looks great, but it’s not the end of the story for this challenging refurbishment.

Another refurbishment project is Chalet de la Marionette. Roofing has been largely completed and it looks great. With the resort getting older, all these things are more and more needed to keep everything in shape.

Moving over to Walt Disney Studios Park, several new or refurbished food trucks are littering Front Lot and World Premiere Plaza. With the new theme (not a working studio), I assumed we were done with this nonsense but guess not. The food isn’t great and they don’t look particularly attractive.

Near Tower of Terror, work continues on slicing off the former FastPass kiosk to turn it into a kiosk. What about – hear me out – making it a snack location so we don’t need food truck?

Watch out yellow cones, these new signs are coming for your jobs.

At Disney Village, the fastest construction project in the Resort history had made even more progress: McDonald’s!

Meanwhile at Casa Giulia, the new Italian Restaurant, they’re still staging the foundation work.

And nearby in the Resort Hub access road, walls are up for the next repaving extravaganza.

Characters

It’s been a cute week for traditional Character encounters so here’s a selection of the Disney Friends we got to meet!

This and That..

Opened just one year ago, the Krispy Kreme location in the main train station closed today, June 8. Apparently landlord SNCF did not want to renew the lease.

Disney Parks International President and Managing Director Jill Estorino shared a photo from her visit with Disneyland Paris management from a new angle around the Adventure Bay marina.

You can now also use Mobile Order at Hollywood Gardens, on top of the many touch screens and traditional tills.

And Disney Tales of Magic will not be performed on July 14, confirming Disneyland Paris will once again offer a special Bastille Day celebration on that day.

And that’s everything happening this week at Disneyland Paris! Thank you as always for reading and sharing and I will see you back here again next time.
