Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #249 – June 15-28, 2026

We’re back with another double edition this week and quite a bit of news and pop up celebrations. Let’s take a look!

The Heatwave

The past week has been scorching hot across Europe and especially in and around Paris. Disneyland Paris was not spared, with Guests and Cast braving these harsh conditions.

One of the most impacted department is entertainment and especially fur characters, with Disney Stars on Parade running on a heavily adapted “face only” version across several days. Good job to the Cast who delivered magical performances in these conditions.

Meet and Greet were also impacted for the same reasons and we’ve seen more princesses and other face characters replacing the usual Disney Friends.

It’s only its first summer but the Adventure Bay bridge had to be left open as the high temperatures affected operations.

And with Disney Adventure World famously missing shade and cool spaces, Animation Celebration was open to Guests to cool off. A chance to see the Frozen sets which are still intact in there.

While unusual and difficult, these conditions are well planned for by the Resort which managed to make the best of it. Thanks to all involved and let’s hope the rest of summer is less harsh!

Toy Story 5

Well Toy Story 5 is out and as with a lot of recent major releases, activations were planned around the Parks. Woody, Jessie and Lilypad are meeting Guests at Animation Celebration, with their new accessories.

Guests are also encouraged to look for “hidden” Pizza Planet trucks themed to Pixar stories all around Worlds of Pixar.

In the food department there’s a special menu At Hollywood Gardens..

Themed donuts, and a bit of extra theming on the roof of Searchlight Refreshments

And a number of other snacks.

Merchandise was of course all in with clothing, pin trading, Christmas ornament and more.

A free collectible card was also available, as is now tradition with these pop up celebrations.

626 Celebration

Aloha Stitch, and Lilo and Pleakly and Angel! A jumbo celebration this year for one of Europe’s favorite characters: Stitch. The offerings run for 5 days even tho 626 day was technically just Friday. Guests have the chance to meet rarely seen characters Lilo and Pleakly at Arcade Beta.

And on the Parade Route, despite the heat, Angel brought the fun with her “Pop Star Party” cavalcade each day.

Disneyland Paris Pride

It’s Pride Season! While Disneyland Paris doesn’t have a dedicated hard ticket event anymore, the resort still celebrates love and inclusion in the parks as with previous years with a fun cavalcade featuring Disney Friends in their best rainbow outfits and Cast Members in colorful tshirts.

Guests also got the chance to meet the characters in the rainbow outfits, at the Main Street Gazebo.

Construction and Refurbishments

The long awaited additional scenes have been added along the Rivers of the Far West banks, provoking a nice refresh and a little more to look at to Guests aboard the Molly Brown. Nice to see some investment here !

Another worthy investment is the Castle Courtyard refurbishment which is slow and steady and continues to deliver some fantastic results.

In Central Plaza, the first of a series of new topiaries has appeared : Cheshire Cat!

And some new props have appeared on Castle Stage for an upcoming show expected to be announced soon and debuting in July.

Over at Disney Adventure World, additional props have appeared in the World Premiere vestibule.

Construction continues on Adventure Way for the Up Sky Swings.

And down the road for the Lion King themed land.

Across the lake, testing continues on an expanded test facility for the Lion King attraction, and you can see the ride vehicle there about drop. Don’t get out of the flume, kids ! If you know you know.

This and That..

Pirates & Princesses Night is the official theme of the next Disneyland Pass event on September 11 from 6:30pm to 2:30am at Disneyland Park. On sale July 2!

Disneyland Paris has confirmed that Christmas will come to Arendelle this year, from November 7, 2026 until January 6, 2027

The “Regal View Restaurant and Lounge” soundtrack is now available on most strreaming platforms.

And Crush’s Coaster will close from September 7, 2026 and until Summer 2027 for a major technical and theming refurbishment:

  • modernization of controls, sensors and partial retracking
  • repainting, relighting and renovation of effects and scenes

Melissa Valiquette has been named as the new Disneyland Paris SVP of Operations and will join the Paris management team in the next few months. She has built an extensive operational experience at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

Well that’s our big update for this week! Thanks for following and reading our articles, and I will see you back here next time for another look at all the latest news from Disneyland Paris.
