Welcome to a new edition of the DLP Report! A slow news week after the tsunami of news and changes around the opening of Disney Adventure World and April 12. Let’s take a look!
Construction and Refurbishments

It has started! Walls are up in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle for the first stage of refurbishment of the bridge which has been literally crumbling, and was not fixed during the last big Sleeping Beauty Castle refurbishment. Sleeping Beauty Castle itself is already in need of a bit of love.

As a result Disney Tales of Magic will be presented in an adapted format with some effects removed and more fireworks added starting May 5.

Work has also started at Plaza Gardens Restaurant which is now closed for a full year while it received an in depth remodel from the roofs and facades (which are getting a new color scheme) to the seating, carpeting, theming and buffet. The location will keep its signature Victorian charm, but it’s not confirmed however if it will return with character dining.

Over at Disney Adventure World, what’s commonly known as the “Lion King Gate” has received more painted theming. This is very much giving “toilets of terror” when the Tower of Terror themed toilets were built way before the attraction. This gate will also be the start and ending point of the upcoming Disney Princess Cavalcade from July 24.

Down Adventure Way, the central roof for the Sky Scchhwwiinngs attraction is taking shape. It’s expected the attraction will be ready in 2027 in time for DLP35.

New Attraction Posters have been added in the World Premiere exit vestibule, for Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure and Avengers Assemble: Flight Force. Interesting that World Of Frozen got a “Land” poster but no Frozen Ever After specific poster. Consistency, people!

Last weekend, M6 show “Zone Interdite” showed some rare images inside the Lion King themed land. Looks a little messy so far but nice to see some progress.

And at Disney Village, brickwork panels are being installed on the Casa Giulia restaurant facade. Like most buildings nowadays, it’s likely not real brickwork but premade panels. The restaurant is scheduled to open by the end of the year.
Disney Adventure World Merch

With the opening of the rebranded park come a series of nice collectible merchandise: Mickey statue (€59), Partners Statue (€119), World Premiere Marquee (€69) and Mickey Plush (€40), all at Mickey’s Of Hollywood in World Premiere.
This and That..

Creatives working on the show have revealed that Tiana and Rapunzel will join Moana and Raya on the Disney Princess Cavalcade debuting January 24 at Disney Adventure World. Excited to see the other two floats!

“Snowflower Magic”, the theme song from the show Celebration in Arendelle at World Of Frozen in Disney Adventure World, written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, was going to be available on streaming services but has been delayed due to a mix-up at Disney Music Group. Hopefully next week.

And auditions for holiday carolers and friends of Anna and Elsa who can sing live suggest that World Of Frozen may be hosting holiday offerings as soon as this year.
