Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #219 – September 8-14, 2025

Time again for a new edition of the DLP Report! This week, Halloween creeps in, Meet Mickey moves out, and it’s a night of stars. We also check on current projects and more. Let’s go!

Hello-ween

When orange takes over Frontierland it can mean only one thing: Halloween is just around the corner!

Pumpkin men and women, scarecrows, flower garlands and of course the Dia de Los Muertas inspired pieces.. it’s the same again in Frontierland. The props are quality so that’s not an issue but it would be nice to get a complete – cohesive – refresh all across Frontierland. Maybe someone that matches the far west theme a lil bit more.

Goofy is even making early appearances already, in his skeleton costume.

Merchandise has also opened the flood gates with a new collection this year.

Disney Hotels are also getting ready with the now traditional giant pumpkins – special mention for Disney Newport Bay Club which debuts a new Mickey pumpkin this year, it’s adorable.

Despite entertainment being mostly the same too, there are a few changes – we will get to meet the “new” Jack Skelington and Sally.

Jose and Panchito will join Donald on his Halloween Celebration float, and Chip and Dale will get new costumes for this parade.

There’s also a new concept for the “UNlucky Nugget”, the special decorative overlay of the Lucky Nugget. Note this is not a show, just spooky vibes and a Halloween Menu.

Partner M&M’s will also be organizing a treasure hunt with I’m sure free candy for completing it.

Nightfall with the Disney Villains will also be performed on select weekends, for some reason.

The Halloween Festival kicks off October 1!

Christmas

Christmas you say?? A few updates for the season starting November 8:

  • Interactions with Aurora and Philip in Castle Courtyard
  • A new Disney Princesses Holiday Celebration show in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle (Castle Stage??)
  • Meet Santa Claus AND Mrs Claus!
  • Holiday projections in Main Street facades all evening.
  • Holiday stories at the Disneyland Hotel
  • And of course Holiday Meets & Merchandise

This year it sounds we’re going back to a more “traditional” Tree Lighting Ceremony, held in Town Square with a live choir.

See y’all for some holiday cheer from November.

Disney Starlight Night

The stars were out in force for the latest Disneyland Pass Event – Disney Starlight Night. On the menu; pop-up shows, meet and greets, games, dance party and more.

Studio Theater hosted “The Amazing Premiere” featuring some special Guests like Roger Rabbit!

It all feels very old school studios park entertainment and that was the point of the night: bringing back this old timey Hollywood theme one last time before Disney Adventure World transforms the park into a Rolodex of franchises.

Over at Animagique, “The Sparking Ball” brought classic Disney Princess stories in a lovely classic way. A highlight of the night.

These events are of course the chance for character fans to meet rarely seen Disney, Pixar and Marvel friends and the night delivered on that point as well.

You’ve only seen him on the video screens but he’s real’ Cheshire Cat from the extremely loose adaptation of Alice in Wonderland “Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland”. The chance for Guests to dance the night away on the set of the show. Mad Tea Party vibes!

If you were in the mood for some games, Studio D hosted a Disney Quizz – DCL style.

To finish the night, the stars aka Disney Friends were playing freely around Front Lot, something that can only be enjoyed at this types of events.

Add to this the cheesy but fun studios park street entertainment “That’s a Wrap”, Bellhop Goofy and Guests of Hollywood Tower Hotel roaming in the Attraction’s lobby and you’ve got a well rounded event which is a lot smoother than it used to be. Just like the day celebrations, Disneyland Paris is finally getting the hang of these passholder events and while they don’t really bring anything too life changing, they are a good time, the chance to see and do something different in a less crowded, vip-style setting. This one in particular was a nice nod to 23 years of Hollywood theme for Walt Disney Studios Park which is about to mostly sashay away. Well done teams!

Space Mountain Lighting

This week, the new Space Mountain lighting was unveiled!

As part of the show building refurbishment, new interactive LED lighting was installed, allowing for a custom lighting sequence at each train launch.

It looks great! And with the recent and ongoing paint job, the show building is finally glowing again. Now take care of the inside!

Meet Mickey

With the Meet Mickey building in Fantasyland needing a lot of structural works (waterproofing and more), the Attraction had to move to another location.

And this location is Studio D!

For the occasion Mickey received a cute cartoony set. There is no reservation needed for this experience. Guests can also meet Mickey at Phantom Mano

Construction and Refurbishments

We start of course with some aerials of Disney Adventure World and World Of Frozen in particular where it’s down to the finishing touches.

The rotating bridge was open this week. Such a fan of this.

Earth is still being moved around as the teams prepare the land for.. the land. The Lion King Land!

Across the way, a ride vehicle could be seen on the testing ramp and track for the attraction. Things seem to be moving at a steady pace so far for this project.

And during the passholder event, the new Toy Story Playland entrance and part of Adventure Way was lit up! Benches have also been installed.

Walls have moved in World Premiere Plaza and well.. it’s a big grey empty space. Yes that’s the parade route but can’t we just get a fountain and a few trees ? Who needs THAT much space.

Jumping of to Disneyland Park, theming of the Main Street projectors continues with this billboard which opens up at showtime. Cool!

And the turnstiles now inform Guests that their picture is being taken when they use their ticket.

At Disney Village, the new McDonald’s location is moving quick as usual, and the plaza in front is being refurbished.

The other Disney Village projects are also ticking along, namely the new entrance, Casa Giulia, Sports Bar and the parking road repaving. Can’t wait for the district to be done, whenever that is!

This and That..

It’s that time again! Every 2 years, Cast Members battle it out for the title of Disneyland Paris’s hostesses with the most was – the Ambassadors !

Who will snatch the crown and open Disney Adventure World amongst these 10 finalists ? Find out on September 25th.

Walt Disney Studios Park has unveiled a special “That’s a Wrap” merchandise collection to commemorate the change of theme with Disney Adventure World. End of an era.

A busy week at the Resort! And that’s our report for now. See you again next time for the latest and greatest from Disneyland Paris!
