Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #218 – September 1-7, 2025

Welcome to a new edition! It’s back to school and back to the news cycle, which is of course only going to heat up in the coming months as the Resort prepares for its biggest existing park expansion in history. And we also explored the Duckburg forest.. let’s take a look!

Welcome to Duckburg Forest

This week Disneyland Paris unveiled the first 100 renovated cabins at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch. More than just a replacement of the facilities, the refurbishment was the chance to redirect the theme to the Junior Woodchucks!

While the property is still called Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, not much is left of Mr Crockett, even on the entrance sign. Instead Guests are invited to explore the Duckburg Forest, following one of the several trails (of bungalows) in the forest.

Inside the bungalows, the arrangement has not fundamentally changed: one master suite (which feels pretty small) on one end with a walk in closet and en suite bathroom, and a “kids room” on the other side with two single beds and a bathroom + toilets in the connecting hallway.

The cabin themselves aren’t really bigger than the old ones but they are brand new. What hasn’t changed is the concept- you’re still in essentially a permanent caravan so everything does feel rather flimsy and plasticey but with that said, they are very nice.

In the center, the best part of the cabin is the common area with fully equipped kitchen including coffee and tea point, BBQ accessories, fridge / freezer, and everything you would need to cook including a Mickey Waffle maker! The cabin is also well equipped in charging and connectivity with USB A and C plugs.

Where the redo really shines is the myriad of little theming elements. It’s all so cute and well done, sprinkled over the cabin. We’re told versions of some of the items may be for sale at a later time.

Later in the week we got the change to stay again as guests of Disneyland Paris and meet some of the Walt Disney Imagineering teams who worked on the project to learn more about the process and inspiration.

We also met with the resort’s beekeepers who manage millions of bees across the site and produce the iconic Disneyland Paris honey on sale in the parks.

Overall a lovely refurbishment / replacement / retheme that will definitely delight the target audience: families driving in from around Europe who are looking for a Disney-themed break with some days close-ish to nature and some days in the theme parks.

All 600 bungalows continue to be replaced until it’s all switched over. Well done and congrats to the team!

2026-2027 Brochure

It’s that time a year where the famous Disneyland Paris brochure for arrivals starting April of the following year comes out.

You can read it HERE

If in the past the brochure was a treasure troves of revelations, the new age of social media and flashy conferences means that this material has become pretty bland and generic. Nevertheless there are a few bits of info, starting with the first time marketing materials are issued for the “world of Worlds”, Disney Adventure World.

Of course the brochure recalls the recent announcement that World Of Frozen will open in Spring 2026, as we await the exact date in the coming months.

We also learn that the main World Of Frozen shop will be called “Arendelle Boutique”, and the merchandise kiosk in the harbor will be called “Fjord View”.

And that “Frozen: a Musical Invitation” is I longer listed past the opening of Disney Adventure World.

The brochure also confirms the internal refurbishment of Disney Sequoia Lodge will begin in January 2026, with works carried out during the day with the hotel open.

And that new Disney Village Italian restaurant Casa Giulia is slated for end 2026.

It’s probably one of the last time we see the map of “the chicken” (the current shape of Walt Disney Studios Park).

Reservations are now open for stays starting March 2027, including the likely opening date of Disney Adventure World.

Construction and Refurbishments

We start as often in Disney Adventure World where we’re done to the finer theming details with about 6 months left to opening.

It feels both almost done and far from done, that weird final stretch that usually takes forever and then boom- it’s all done. In particular, more details are being installed for the new Toy Story Playland entrance.

On the site of the Lion King themed land, dirt is being moved the ground prepped for construction of the massive show building.

And backstage on the other side of the park, the Lion King attraction test ramp is still here. Test boats for that mysterious ride system have been seen zipping down.

In the “old” Walt Disney Studios Park, Minnie‘s Musical Moment’s poster was replaced by a more generic Studio D design. While it’s cleaner, World Premiere Plaza still remains the most basic part of the park with tons of visual intrusions including several backstage buildings.

It’s all quiet at Theater of the Stars as “Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland” has ended its current run. The road will eventually lead to Adventure Bay directly with an access point between the Up Spinner and the English Gardens.

And at Tower of Terror, works are moving along slowly to cover the Rose Garden queue.

This is what I’ll look like.

Over at Disneyland Park, Meet Mickey has now closed until early 2026 for a thorough refurbishment but fear not, you’ll still be able to meet him at the Phantom Manor Gazebo and temporarily at Studio D.

Refurbishment has also started at Constellations and around the Videopolis arcade. Videopolis and Cafe Hyperion remain open.

And over at Disney Village, an entire bank of Lake a Disney is now closed, forcing guests to take the long way via Disney Sequoia Lodge. As a reminder there’s also a bus shuttle. It’s unclear for now if closure is related to the McDonalds construction or if the security gates will be redone on that side too.

This and That..

The programme for the September 13 Disneyland Pass Parry “Disney Starlight” is now available, offering shows, happenings, character meets and a DJ Party on the set of “Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland” (that should be a vibe!).

And that’s everything this week from Disneyland Paris! Thanks for joining us as usual and I will see you next time with more news.
