Welcome to a new edition of the DLP Report! This week it’s all about McDonald’s, but we also have a few other updates. Let’s take a look!
McDonald’s

After a lighting fast construction period – here it is! The new McDonald’s Disney Village.

The biggest, most modern McDonald’s in France (possibly even in Europe or beyond) boasts some impressive stats:
- 3 floors linked by stairs, an elevator and 5 food elevators
- 23 touch screen ordering kiosks with a full menu selection (except potato wedges because of customer preferences, we’re told)
- A modern dual kitchen cooking orders in real time and a state of the art automated dishwashing facility.
- Table delivery of the orders with RFID location system
- Sustainable building with a green wall, rain water collection, solar panel, vegetation roof
- Largest play area with internal slide connecting the floors
- Variety of seating options and outdoor dining across several terraces

Above you can see the details of the green wall, rooftop solar panels and the play area.

While the location features much less whimsy and cookiness as the old one, it dramatically improved efficiency, service, comfort and sustainability. Despite the Scandinavian chic vibe, the location does feature a few interesting touches like a Disneyland Paris outline wall, Happy Meal prop and overall a lot of eye popping colors representing the iconic brand like yellow glass and staircases.

Here’s a look at the order geo locating system and the elevators sending the trays to the correct floor where they are then brought to the customer tables.

The restrooms are also a big upgrade, large and efficient, really the theme for this new impressive restaurant.

On Wednesday we were invited by McDonald’s and Disneyland Paris to meet the restaurant teams and learn more about the project. It was also a chance to meet a character you don’t see often: Grimace!
The new McDonald’s Disney Village is now open daily from 8am to midnight, and 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.

This all means the old location is now behind fall. It will be demolished in due time and for now, will not be replaced by anything except a landscaped hill with trees and flowers. Ultimately, the space may become the gateway to a new phase of Disney Village expansion. To be continued!
Lunar New Year

Happy Lunar New Year! To celebrate, Mulan, Li Shang and Mushu were meeting Guests for the day at Disneyland Park.
Construction and Refurbishments

Next week, Disneyland Paris Cast Members will be the first to explore the Disney Adventure World expansion area. The experience, test and adjust, is under embargo until March 14. In the meantime, the park is tying up loose ends and getting ready for the influx of visitors that are expected in March. This includes a completely redesigned Guest Services complex, including Baby Care which has just received a new sign.

At Disneyland Park, a temporary sign is up for the Princess Pavilion – the roof could also use some work.

At Disney Village, the resurfacing project in front of the Gaumont Cinema is complete. The cinema itself is part of the Disney Village remodeling project but it’s not expected to fully close, instead getting renovated in stages, from the facade to the theaters and the lobby.

Progress is also being made at Italian restaurant Casa Giulia which is expected to open by end of year. Upstairs, what looks like furniture and lighting tests are being conducted.
This and That..

Reserved Viewing Area tickets for Disney Adventure World nighttime show Cascade of Lights (in front of Regal View) are now on sale from April 7 in the official app.

Several updates are coming for quick service ordering kiosks network;
- Disneyland Pass discount will finally be accepted from February 24 (at Hyperion), March 3 (Toad Hall) and March 10 (Hol Gardens) + Nordic Crown when it opens on March 29
- Redesigned Hyperion kiosks unveiled next month with a steampunk aesthetic
- Casa de Coco will get kiosks this summer.
