Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #236 – Jan 19 – Feb 8, 2026

And we’re back with a new article after a (well deserved?) break. Fear not, DLPReport never stops so we’ve got a lot to talk about from the last couple weeks. Let’s take a look!

A Million Splashes of Colour, Again

Well it’s back ! A “A Million Splashes of Colour” has returned to the parade route until September 6.

The creative teams seem to have listened to feedback and improved most of the issues: the soundtrack has been reworked and is a little bit more chill, with transitions that are not giving you as much whiplash.

The floats have also been worked on, with the addition of color – matching the name of the show a little bit better than the mostly black and white scheme of last year. A fourth little float has been added, fleshing out the roulage a little bit.

On all the floats but mostly the new one, additional colorful props were added with some new references, like Nightmare Before Christmas, Chicken Little, and Kermit the Frog.

Is it gonna be our favorite show – maybe not but it’s nice to see some effort and rethinking was done since last year’s edition. Welcome back Cast and Crew, we know you’re gonna make this great.

Minnie’s Dream Factory

She owns 100% of this Factory. After the disappointing cancellation of the Dream Factory, we are back several years later for a new take on the Factory concept. This time, Minnie’s the boss and she’s brought Disney Friends to learn life lessons about being yourself and taking chances.

The show is fun, but less innovative than the previous rendition. It’s more about the classic Disney Friends and less about the workers of the factory. However the show wins by bringing in some newer songs, from the likes of Shake it Up and Zombies 3. It’s not the very latest stuff but at least young Guests have more chances of knowing the song.

You can watch our full video of the new show just above. Oh yeah and the smoke bubbles are still part of the show. PHEW!

I Can Buy Myself Flowers

The new Adventure Way shop has been unveiled – and it’s a “flower shop” (at least in spirit)

Walt Disney Imagineering has taken great care to incorporate some little details telling the stories of this little flower shop, giving it some depth and A CEILING so I immediately love it.

With this lovely theming – you’d think it would be selling some great merchandise. No, you can always trust the business to mess up WDI’s creations: it’s selling a bunch of crap packaged candy. Hopefully temporarily.

Disney Adventure World

Eeeeeekkkkkk no long now! We are WEEKS away from the first Cast Member only test and adjust days, and about a month from the first public preview. Work is almost done but there are still a ton of last minute projects all around the expansion area. For you dear readers, mark your calendars already for our official Disney Adventure World first look mega dump on March 14! We’ll have everyone on deck for some extensive multimedia coverage.

With the clock ticking, Disney is slow dropping us some little sneak peeks, and we recently took a look at “Rencontre Royales”, the World Of Frozen meet and greet.

The official park map has also been unveiled. It is starting to feel very real!

Construction and Refurbishments

It’s not just all about Disney Adventure World (it really is). The legacy areas are also getting finished up, with both screens operational for the World Premiere “theaters”: Studio D and I guess Stitch Live is also a theater now. It’s not awful, it’s not really great, it’s adequate.

On the other side, against all odds, the idea of using a plastic tarp to cover the building did not turn out as expected in the Disneyland Paris weather. It’s been removed already. How about a proper painted mural ?

Next we’re off to Disney Village where the teams are wasting no time slicing and dicing the buildings and legacy towers for the transformation of the Disney Store into Disney Wonders.

Across the street, Italian Restaurant Casa Giulia is making good progress after an of incredibly slow start. Can’t wait to see the brickwork being applied.

And all the way at the back it’s the final countdown for the new McDonalds Disney Village, officially opening on February 18! Join us then for a first look at the space during a the official opening event.

All this also means we will soon say goodbye to this 1999 icon. The building is expected to be taken down, opening the way for potential Disney Village extensions towards the bus station side.

In recent weeks, Disney Village also received a new temporary lighting package, to help liven up the place on the midst of all the construction.

This and That..

Well that escalated quickly: Josh D’Amaro will become The Walt Disney Company CEO as soon as March 18, 2026. In addition, Dana Walden has been named President and Chief Creative Officer, also effective March 18, creating a leadership duo that will ensure all aspects of the company are covered.

From our theme parks fan point of view, D’Amaro’s appointment is great news given his extensive experience with Disney Parks. Josh is also a very lovable leader who has managed to learn how to capture the trust of Guests and Cast Members alike.

As you must know, it’s Olympics Time in Milano and Cortina and worldwide partner Coca Cola has set up these fun photo opportunities at the Sports Bar in Disney Village.

And that’s our update! Thanks for joining us for this double edition, and I will see you again next time for the latest from Disneyland Paris.
