Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #233 – Dec 29, 2025 – Jan 4, 2026

Happy New Year! It’s going to be a big one for Disneyland Paris and we can’t wait to share everything with you. With that, let’s look at the latest!

New Years Eve

It’s now become a tradition since the hard ticket parties were discontinued: Disneyland Paris offered a little extra magic at no extra cost for New Years Eve.

Entertainment throughout the night revolved around two dance parties.

In Frontierland, Max, Goofy and Clarice hosted a “Countr’Eve” while over in Discoveryland Stitch and Angel took to the DJ Booth over Starport for an electronic (and Disneyland Paris bangers) set.

A few extra special guest characters were also out, like Cowboy Donald and Minnie (to fit with the Countr’Eve theme).

While restaurants mostly don’t offer special characters, Plaza Gardens did:

A chance to see the fun “Champagne” collection of outfits.

Disneyland Paris President Natacha Rafalski was also touring the restaurant.

Talking about Champagne, the usual Champagne bar was set up inside Gibson Girl.

At midnight, Disneyland Park presented a classic but “big” fireworks display (read: not the nightly pew pew).

And Mickey and Minnie rounded up the night with some Happy New Year waving from Main Street Station.

Overall a nice little well oiled celebration evening!

Rendez-vous.. at Disney Adventure World

As we gear up for the 3 longest months of the year – until the opening of Disney Adventure World – the Disneyland Pass is keeping us entertained sir a series of surprises and events, some in person, some online, before the big day.

Shortly after the initiative’s announcement, they announced their first event – and no it’s the the one preview event everyone wants to know about (you can’t start with the big one), it’s a Frozen watching marathon. Next week you can register on the AP platform for a screening of Frozen 1+2 in French with singalong subtitles on January 10 & 11 at the Discoveryland Theater. Frozen Disneybound is encouraged and park reservation is mandatory.

Construction and Refurbishments

This week we got a first look at the top half of the new Adventure Way shop (and former Tower of Terror Fastpass Kiosk).

The details look really great, can’t wait to see the finished product which will tie the area nicely together.

On the other end of Tower of Terror progress has been made on the support structure for the new covered queue.

And up on the side balconies, these new designs have been added to disguise new mobile network antennas. As you can imagine, the extra influx of Guests in Disney Adventure World will require a whole lot of extra bandwidth.

Talking about Disney Adventure World, the signage for “Raiponce Tangled Spin” has been installed, and it’s lovely!

At Disney Village it’s a final goodbye to The Disney Store. Opened in 1992, it had somehow retained most of its iconic 90’s theming. The store was in dire need of a dusting up and while this could have been achieved gradually over the years with refurbishments, it was left to rot.

The venue closes on January 4 and will reopen as “Disney Wonders” in “late summer” 2026, featuring an array of franchise-led merchandise. Because we didn’t have enough of that..

This and That..

Got a bit of SNOW!

The next big Resort Celebration in 2026 is over at Shanghai Disneyland which turns 10 – already!

And the Disneyland Pass “Friends Tickets” offer (allowing holders to buy discounted tickets for friends and family on select days) will return from January 7 until March 27, 2026. Last year, prices ranged between £47 and £64 depending on the day.

And that’s our first report of 2026! Thank you for reading and sharing, and I will see you again soon with the latest from Disneyland Paris.
