Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #232 – December 15-28, 2025

We’re back with a double edition of the DLP Report post Christmas break! This week we’re talking New Years, Buzz Lightyear, Disney Adventure World and of course the latest ongoing projects.

2026

With Christmas over, it’s time to get ready for New Years!

As with recent years, the resort is not doing a hard ticket event but rather putting together a few little extras for Guests on regular admission, like dance parties and a special fireworks show. Infrastructure for Stitch’s Dance Party in Discoveryland have started to be installed.

And a stage was also setup in Frontierland for the other dance party.

Also as usual, the 2026 merchandise collection is in stores.. it’s again not groundbreaking but this year’s design isn’t too bad compared to previous years.

We’ll see ya on December 31 from Disneyland Park for coverage of the celebration.

Bzzzz

Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast has returned for a relatively long refurbishment (it feels like the last one wasn’t too long ago?)

On the menu for this round: repainting of the sets, new lighting, facade refurbishment, and especially some attention to the ride vehicles. Some of the displays have been changed or refurbished but looking closely, not all of them it seems.

The Photopass counter now also features the latest”scan your own” kiosk.

100 Days

Just a week ago we passed a marketing milestone: 100 Days until the Disney Adventure World opening!

The opening will be a multi staged extravaganza, with Cast Members “Test and Adjust” likely in the first half of March, various media events and a Disneyland Pass event all before the official opening on March 29.

On the ground, the teams have 3 months left to get everything show ready!

Construction and Refurbishments

With start at Disney Village where McDonald’s is officially McDonald’s! With signage now installed and interior fittings largely installed, the venue is racing toward its early 2026 opening.

Nearby at the Disney Hotels security gates, the “exit” guard cabin is complete.

And closer to the front another stretch of pavement has been unveiled – the difference is more than clear!

A test wall can also be spotted for the “Casa Giulia” facade currently under construction.

Over at Walt Disney Studios Park, the new World Premiere merchandise kiosks have opened. They are actually not bad and bring a bit of life and sight lines blocking to this basic area of the park.

Not a ton ongoing at Disneyland Park post Bizz Lightyear reopening – Meet Mickey is now looking set for a February 9 reopening after an in depth refurbishment of the whole building.

So long, Eddie!

Legendary Imagineer Eddie Sotto has passed away on December 17. He was the creative force behind Euro Disney’s Main Street, U.S.A., bringing his architectural storytelling and attention to details to the land, and his resonating voice to the Main Street Station announcements. Thank you, Eddie.

And that’s the latest over the holidays from Disneyland Paris! I will see you again next time: in 2026! Wishing you all a Happy New Year in advance!
