Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #215 – August 11-16, 2025

Welcome to a new edition of the DLP Report! This week we mostly look at the progress on the various ongoing projects. Let’s go!

Ice Palace Watch

There’s a new palace in town! Elsa’s iconic Ice Palace received its final ornaments and details this week and is now complete.

The structure completes the Adventure Way / Bay arrival sequence where Guests will first see the trees with the Ice Palace looking very far away in the distance, and the Clock Tower. As they travel up the avenue, the attractions, the restaurant Arendelle Town and the marina will slowly all come into view. Someone’s done their homework. Disney Adventure World opens in 2026.

Time to Shop

This week Disneyland Paris revealed the concept art for the two new merchandise kiosks that are being built in World Premiere Plaza. They’re.. adequate I guess and match the area. They each feature a clock, one with Mickey (by Studio Theater – also did we need more Mickey things in this area) and on the other side by Animagique Theater it’ll be Woody. This whole area is.. what is it. It’ll be cleaner, more coherent, but we are far from a Buena Vista Street type of full redo.

Construction and Refurbishments

Woooo this week we start with Disney Village where the new Disney Hotels security gates on Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel have opened!

They’re very high quality and will provide a better experience for Guests and security Cast Members especially in the depth of winter.

This was also the occasion to redo this corner of Lake Disney waterfront with new gardens, grass and a little plaza, making the whole area clean and pretty, if maybe a bit generic but that’s the new Disney Village vibe isn’t it.

Nearby at Disney Village, some of the railings have arrived, finishing up these planters a little bit better.

And at the Sports Bar, progress is being made on the brickwork, signage, wiring and new facades for the terrace.

Back at Disney Adventure World, the Lion King Attraction drop testing is visible from some on stage area. It’s not fully clear what the end goal but it’s at least to get an idea of the height, effect and ride technology which is apparently going to be pretty cool.

Closer to the front, one of the domed canopy has been unveiled and it now features additional roofing and ornaments. It looks good!

Here are some details of these decorative pieces.

Over in World Premiere, the Searchlight Refreshments kiosk has received some frames which tell details of the backstory of this “newsstand turned snack location”.

Always nice to get more details even if the place just sells donuts.

Over at Disneyland Park, painting of the Space Mountain dome has started. It’s being done in phases just using roped up specialists.

Work also continues on the new design of the spires.

In Fantasyland, the station continues to get boxed up with hopefully a themed tarp coming soon.

In Adventureland, scaffolding is down at the suspended bridge which should reopen soon. We’re also waiting for the Adventure Isle caves to reopen with their new scavenger hunt game.

And in Central Plaza, work is still ongoing on this temporary control room. Would be interesting to see what exactly the are upgrading in the original one that requires such a long temporary getup.

As you walk in or out, you may also notice this video intercom at the Fantasia Gardens entrance of the Disneyland Hotel, likely for after hours access.

This and That..

For the Toy Story Playland 15th Anniversary, Disneyland Paris confirmed that the new Toy Story Playland Entrance will open with all of the Disney Adventure World expansion in 2026. Makes sense but there was some chatter about the bottom of Adventure Way and the new Toy Story Playland entrance opening up before – but no.

And that’s everything happening at Disneyland Paris on this busy summer week! Thank you for reading and sharing and I will see you next time for a new edition.
