Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #210 – July 7-13, 2025

Welcome back to a new edition of the DLP Report! It’s as usual a slow news summer but that doesn’t mean there’s not a number of ongoing project. Let’s take a look!

Construction & Refurbishments

IT’S HERE. We start at Space Mountain where the first redesigned spire has been installed. It’s a cage with a platform that replaces the 3 orignal floating neon discs. The structure will receive LED fixture to recreate the same effect – more or less. The change brings better access and safety for maintenance crews.

Here’s a wider look at the structure. The change is not very noticeable except at the bottom which is now a metal floor.

On the rest of the dome, a lot of climbing and safety equipment has been installed as the structure gets repainted and the new light show slowly implemented. The Attraction itself remains open (most of the time).

Also at Disneyland Park, Pirates of the Caribbean reopened from refurbishment on Friday night. On top of the usual show improvements and repairs, the infamous Swinging Pirate has returned! And here we thought he was gone for good. Well done maintenance teams!

Over at Walt Disney Studios Park – the old side – construction of the new merchandise kiosks continue in World Premiere Plaza.

Walls are also constantly moving around the area as repaving progressed in waves. World Premiere Plaza still has some of these big empty spaces, except now it’s with some newer more consistent pavement. An improvement, I guess. That area is also kept clear as it will be the beginning (or end) of the big new Parade Route which will stretch along Adventure Way then left until it reaches Lion King Land. No information has been disclosed regarding any type of new parade (although it appears on some concept art) but at least the infrastructure is there.

Talking about Adventure Way, it appears some of the lovely new trees are not doing too well. Crews are working on fixing that.

Over at Disney Village, the back road is now closed at the Mc Donald’s building progresses.

Look at that!

Some modest progress at Sports Bar with more brick work and infrastructure.

The new Disney Hotels security gates and gardens are also progressing but it’s always the final stages that take forever.

Merchandise

The 2026 Disneyland Paris Calendar is out (€10) and honestly what a load of crap. These photos are mostly outdated (the Disney Electrical Sky Parade hasn’t ran since January 2025, the Christmas photo is .. a marketing concept art?). It would be nice if the external agency in charge of this product would pay a bit more attention to details.

There’s a new Jumbo Key in town and it’s beautiful. It’s themed to the original Space Mountain which is such a troll from the company that has no intention of bringing this show back. If it was so amazing then ??

New discounts have been applied to the summer sales (until July 22) with some 70% off on interesting items including Spirit Jerseys.

Characters

We’ve had some lovely interactions with Disney, Marvel and Pixar friends this weekend, here are some of the highlights!

This and That..

They’ve ruined the only OK quick service in Avengers Campus by removing the ham and the chicken pizza, replaced by options that are of course cheaper to make. Is disappointing guests really worth the €0.20 saving per slice?

Disney Friends in their Frontierland outfits, Cast Members and corporate representatives held an official dedication ceremony for the Overland Trail Cafe sponsorship by Doritos (yes, it’s been around a while).

And bookings for Disneyland Paris packages (hotels+tickets and options) for stays April 1, 2026 to March 30, 2027 will be available from September 2, 2025 across various sales channels, covering the exciting Disney Adventure World opening timeframe.

Well that’s everything this week from Disneyland Paris! Thanks for reading and sharing as usual and I will see you again on the next one.
