Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #190 – January 27- February 2, 2025

Welcome back to a new edition of the DLP Report! It’s a bit of a light one this week, reflecting the depth of winter at the Resort, but hey we’ve (barely) survived January!

Outfit Change

This week, ‘it’s a small world closed for refurbishment’ and reopened with some new outfits based on the original 1992 design.

From Disney: To faithfully recreate these iconic outfits, the teams meticulously analysed documentation from 1992, relying heavily on photographs to match the precise colours and materials – such as velvet, satin, cotton, and embroidery – used in the originals. While some of the fabrics could be taken from the originals, other fabrics had to be entirely recreated: two years of research and a year of dressmaking were needed to create the gold, pastel and white costumes for the characters in the spectacular final scene, in which children from all over the world come together to sing.

The fountain however wasn’t cleaned but since then the boat prop was removed. So there’s hope.

Construction and Refurbishments

At Walt Disney Studios Park, the park side facade of Studio 1 is coming together slowly, with posters for the shows offered in the park. Let’s hope this is not the final product because it looks a little simple and cheap so far.

Mickey and the Magician got a new design which features the stories from the show, except Frozen which is no longer pictured. The show returns April 21.

Across the street, more trees and lampposts have popped up in front of Tower of Terror as the Resort is about to welcome the school holiday crowds.

Walls have retreated around Animation Celebration, opening up this area which is starting to look a little less depressing.

On Adventure Way, lots of trees have appeared around the new Toy Story Entrance.

And near “Raiponce Tangled Spin”, a big Rapunzel flower mosaic is being added on the ground. Should be a lovely little area!

Over at World Of Frozen, there’s not a ton to see currently as it’s down to the little details. We’re just waiting for the Ice Castle now!

At Animagique Theater, the slicing has completed. It’s fine, we’ll see the poster but again, was this needed.

Inside Animation Celebration, the former Toy Story Zoetrope space is now completely empty until it welcomes a new exhibit.

At Disney Village, new areas have entered refurbishment for repaving, and at the new Disney shops, some of the new brick facades are starting to appear.

This and That..

The latest Disneyland Paris official partner is SNCF and their SNCF Connect App. The two entities will aim to facilitate booking lower carbon transport options to the Resort by integrating digital offerings, and launch marketing campaigns across their brands.

The Disneyland Pass “Pop-up Surprises” meet and greet is returning from February 7 to March 2, 2025. Reservations are already pretty much sold out.

This week we got some new content from the Val d’Europe master plan model which has been recently updated. There’s nothing fundamentally new but it shows off in details a new lakeside conference center hotel, and the second phase of Disney Village remodeling.

And that’s our roundup of everything new this (quiet) week at Disneyland Paris! Thanks for reading and sharing as always and I will see you soon for a new update.
