Oh hello! And welcome back to the weekly DLP Report! As you may have noticed our website closed for a good chunk of the month to prepare for our brand refresh which we’re excited to unveil today!
This is the first time we undergo such an update and while you’ll find that most elements have changed, the core identity we’re known for is still here. On with the show, for this new article we’re looking at the major milestones for November. Let’s go!
Disney Tales of Magic
Well what do you know we finally have a name for the upcoming new nighttime spectacular from January 10. “Tales of Magic” will be a tough sell with the French speakers but hey-ho it’s pretty good for English speakers.
The show will feature a dizzying list of franchises: Pinocchio, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Tarzan, Pocahontas, Lilo & Stitch, Encanto, Coco, Inside Out, Toy Story, WALL-E, Frozen, Elemental. It’s unclear which will simply flash across the Castle and which will be a full feature, or if the show will be a non stop mix of images.
Disney Illuminations suffers from being just a clip show, a marketing vessel with no soul and so hopefully creatives have made sure to build something that creates an emotion instead of just aiming for Guests to say oh yeah I saw XYZ character. Time will tell the tale.. of Magic.
On the technical front, Disneyland Paris is finally getting Main Street projections – the longest rumor that dates back to Disney Dreams in 2012 with the help of 20 LED HD projectors. The show will also feature drone sequence as a bonus, not a main feature, ensuring the show is enjoyable with or without (given they are ultra sensitive to wind and rain). See you on Main Street, January 10. No pressure.
Disney Music Festival
Disneyland Paris will continue its longstanding tradition to task entertainment to carry an entire year once again with no new attraction or major event in 2025. This time around, all bets are on the “Disney Music Festival” to generate these package bookings despite World Of Frozen being right around the corner in early 2026.
A non stop array of entertainment tailored to each land aim to connect them all together through music.
The Disney copy is as generic as it gets but promises the festival “ will enhance guests’ experiences throughout their day at Disneyland Park, offering unforgettable musical moments. All across the Park, venues will come alive with melodies, concerts, and shows that reflect the rich, diverse musical worlds of Disney and Pixar. From a pop/rock concert featuring Disney’s greatest hits to Minnie Mouse’s parade with her marching band, and the sunny melodies of Moana, visitors will be immersed in a lively, festive atmosphere. With live performances by singers interpreting both beloved classics and contemporary hits from Disney Animation and Pixar animated films, this musical event will have every generation singing and dancing along.”
Minnie will, amongst other characters, e wearing this band leader outfit as part of some of the day-long programme. So bring your tam-tams and your cool-cools to the DMC from April 19 to September 7, 2025.
Let It Snow!
It’s always extra magical when Disneyland Paris gets covered in show and this year it came pretty early! Here’s our collection of photos from these couple snow days across Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park !
Disney Friends enjoyed a day playing in the snow..
And it was also the first “real” snow fall at World Of Frozen – under construction:
Walt Disney Imagineering even shared a few snaps behind the scenes in Arendelle:
Christmas Night
November saw another edition of the Disneyland Pass events, and this time it was all about Christmas! With exclusive shows and rare characters – as per usual – it was an enjoyable event that didn’t wow but also didn’t disappoint.
On the character front we’ll note the return of Anger, and some rare Christmas outfit for example for Stitcb and Angel.
For more Christmas outfits, Disney Friends were hosting a selfie spot at Videopolis. The debate over these selfie spots still rages amongst character fans.. with no end in sight.
“Mickey’s Merriest Christmas” was the main classic show presented on Central Plaza. An extra thank you to the Cast and Crew who managed to produce this night despite the snow storm just the day before! See you again for the next one in March 2025.
Doctor Strange: Mystery of the Mystics
“Doctor Strange: Mystery of the Mystics” is a new show we Avengers Campus Paris. It’s the long long long awaited debut of Scarlet Witch in Paris.
And also the debut of Agatha Harkness!
The show is a rather “classic” Avengers Campus production showcasing a fight between Dr. Strange, Scarlet Witch and Agatha. It’s a nice production that lasts about 12 min with some added projection mapping and lights. Despite Disneyland Paris promoting this offering left and right, management decided to stick with the rule that Avengers Campus show times are not publicized which maybe works for smaller regular happenings but really pisses off Guests when it’s a promoted highly anticipated show only presented twice in the evening. Sometimes it’s nice to not unnecessary piss off your paying customers, you know ? in case you were wondering – 6pm and 6:45pm.

Construction and Refurbishments
Just a selection of projects this week.
Our latest check at Disney Adventure World, specifically Adventure Way and the North Mountain at World Of Frozen.
I got the chance to visit all the Frozen Lands – at World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland and Frozen Kingdom Tokyo DisneySea over the break and absolutely loved both of them. World Of Frozen really felt a lot more immersive and magical so I’m very excited and hopeful for Disney Adventure World. It’s not to say that Frozen Kingdom wasn’t exceptional with an unbelievably more advanced attraction and fantastic dining venue. But we can’t have everything! (apparently). A special thanks to everyone who made these visits extra magical 🙂
The barely finished Main Street Gazebo has finally opened and it features Santa Stitch, of course with long queues.
The nearby covered terrace project for Casey’s Corner is late (what a shock) and should maybe open in Spring 2025.
Disney also shared the logos for the three new shops due to open at Disney Village by the end of 2024 – oh wait now it’s changed to first quarter of 2025. Let’s see if they can make this deadline.
This and That..
A new giant Captain America bauble has joined Iron Man and Captain Marvel at Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.
Moana is meeting Guests in her new Moana 2 outfit at the former AP office until January 6, celebrating the release of the film which – IMHO – is very fun!
And to mark the reopening of the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, Disneyland Paris will present a unique preshow to Disney Illuminations from Dec 5 to 14, inspired by the story of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This will replace the Disney Electrical Sky Parade during the period.
