Welcome back to a new DLPReport! It’s been a quiet September so far with most of the projects just ticking along, but Halloween is arriving and we did go back to the 2000’s! Let’s take a look.
Halloween
While the US Parks are already in full Halloween mode, over here we’re just getting started – as usual in Frontierland. The area is receiving – again – the lovely Dia Los Muertos decorations. But that’s not all, we’re again getting the 3 vibes of Halloween.
Vibe 2 are the pumpkin men and women.
And vibe 3 are the weird scarecrows. Halloween really feels ripe for a complete overhaul but we’re here still waiting. Come on budget people.
Goofy saw some pumpkins and decided to start the party early. Guests can already meet him in his skeleton outfit. Halloween at Disneyland Paris starts October 1 and will this year again be mostly unchanged.
“Back to the 2000’s” Disneyland Pass Party
On September 13 we signed once more to be entertained, outraged, dazzled, excited, and confused by another Disneyland Pass Party! This time we went back to the 2000’s and well it was pretty fun!
The night didn’t start very well when the “pre party” with extremely low capacity confided everyone. Many Guests thought this was the opening show and lined up all the way across Frontierland for basically a small area with selfie spot. The production itself wasn’t bad at all but the organizer failed to explain exactly what we were getting, creatine a ton of unnecessary confusion and frustration.
Once inside, it was a fun little experience with Disney Friends in their country outfits. The whole thing took us 15 min.
The area also had posters of movies from the 2000’s. A good idea that needs to be a little more baked.
Next up we had the “Fantastic Medley” which showcased the Millenium celebrations and iconic Disneyland Paris songs of the 2000’s (more or less). This was great! The first performance had a huge fireworks display but not the next two so something to keep in mind at these events.
Between shows, Central Plaza turned into a massive 2000 disco with characters popping on stage , dancing and being so silly. This was super fun!
The F&B offering was printed macarons. Go ahead and give us nothing as usual.
In Discoveryland, the construction walls were covered in stickers form iconic Disney Channel productions. There was also a High School Musical “Wildcats Fever” but no one could see anything. The show looked cool but was performed flat on the ground so maybe 50 Guests enjoyed it. Add a temporary stage or don’t bother.
These parties are as usual a chance for character fans to meet or see character that aren’t available during regular operations because the majority of day guests don’t really know or care for them. The event didn’t disappoint with a wide array of rare Disney Friends.
Overall a fun little event, with the usual quirks here and there. Disneyland Paris is now used to throwing these parties where Disneyland Pass Guests can basically get what they can’t really get during day operations: nostalgia, throwbacks, rare characters, dance parties and other pop up productions.
Construction and Refurbishments
Your Disney Adventure World photo tour as usual! Some nice progress on Adventure Way with trees arriving, around the lake with additional infrastructure and of course at World of Frozen, particularly on the mountain range.
Over at Disneyland Park, walls have appeared on one side of the Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge as it’s .. crumbling.
The poor Disneyland Hotel awnings are already completed faded after just a few months. I hope they have a good warranty.
And around Lake Disney, the refurbishment of the Disney Newport Bay Club lighthouse is complete!

And the Disney Electrical Sky Parade will officially end its run on January 6, 2025, suggesting the new Disneyland Paris show mixing drones and fireworks for the first time in a Castle Park Nightime Spectacular may premiere shortly after.
