Disneyland Paris News & Photo Report #257 – September 6-20, 2026

We are back with a new DLP Report and it’s back to school time so buckle up, we’ve got a lot to cover!

Halloween Creep

Well well well if it isn’t some fantastic new Halloween banners on Main Street! Very Tokyo.

Castle Stage has also received a new set although it’s still unclear what will go on the stage – meet and greets / happenings / show ?

It’s also looking very Halloweeny in the Central Plaza planters and Fantasia Gardens.

There’s more to come, with some new pumpkin decorations, the Unlucky Nugget – now extending to Last Chance Cafe and more.

In Frontierland, the new backdrop for Dr Facilier has arrived..

And we got a first look at all new Disney Friends costumes for this year!

And most of the usual Frontierland decor has returned largely unchanged, although we’re getting new hats !

Merchandise merchandise, it’s all finally arrived – as usual after the first Christmas drops (priorities!). You can find it all at Thunder Mesa Mercantile or Flora’s.

And let’s not forget snacks – some of them are here, with more to come.

The Disney Halloween Festival begins September 26, and join us for an exclusive first peek on the evening of Thursday September 24!

Christmas

At the same time, we’re also getting ready for Christmas ! With some new visuals of Christmas in Arendelle which looks like it’s gonna be lovely.

Santa is moving this year, from Videopolis to the nursery in Disney Clothiers ! Something to do with Mrs Claus wanting to be closer to a Lavazza location.

Talking about, it’ll be a Merry Lavazza again with Mrs Claus, plus all the usual offerings from Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade, Let’s Sing Christmas, a new Tree Lighting moment and Character Meet and greets.

Merchandise is obviously also in the starting blocks with additional Christmas arrivals.

While on the topic of end of year celebration, Disney Adventure World will be having its own midnight moment on December 31 this year. Two options for Guests !

Disney Village

We finally get to see what the other side of the street will look like with this concept art of the Steakhouse (will it remain a steak restaurant ?), a new facade for Starbucks and Billy Bobs, in line with the overall new vibe for the district.

We’re also getting new holiday decorations this year (also finally), with modern designs inspired by Disney / Pixar / Star Wars characters.

As part of a media event, we got a first look inside Casa Giulia which is opening towards the end of the year and will feature two floors of dining with various balconies and terraces – plus a takeaway counter focusing on pizza and snacks.

The event was also a chance to hear all the latest Disney Village news directly from the stakeholders:

  • Jillian Dekunder, Director of Operating Participants
  • Jean-David Marque, VP Merchandise
  • Keith Rector, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris
  • Étienne Moisy, Artistic Portfolio Coordinator

While we toured the shop briefly earlier in the week, on Sunday, Cast Members got a proper preview of Disney Wonders. The shop blends modern design and art elements. Overall it’s giving pop culture Disney and “A Million Splashes of Colour” aesthetic, a definite departure from the Disney Store and even World of Disney. The shop features Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars merchandise, with some fun displays.

The Pixar (and Disney) walls for example feature digital frames ans character models with some special projected effects on the wall. A nice way to fill what is otherwise a lot of big beige walls.

Another maybe more controversial feature and a frost for Disney Parks is the use of RFID self checkouts almost exclusively. Guests just drop all their items in the machine which recognizes all the merchandise and generates the total. Of course the system takes a lot less Cast Members to operate, hopefully meaning the Cast will be more on hand to help on the floor (and not just reduced).

Disney Wonders officially opens on September 22.

“Pirates & Princesses” Night

The latest edition of the Disneyland Pass Nights series was all about “Pirates & Princesses”!

An interesting addition this time was sponsorship by Disney Cruise Line which is definitely ramping up its European presence.

As part of the night Guests got to enjoy a number of shows like Minnie’s Pirates Academy..

And of course plenty of rare-ish and exclusive meet and greets until 2am.

Construction and Refurbishments

Refurbishment has started at Colonel Hathi’s and hooray they’re taking care of the terrace.

Refurbishment is complete at the Frontierland entrance with some shiny new woodwork.

Over in Worlds of Pixar, half of the usual photo location is blocked off due to construction at Crush’s Coaster which has now started (until Summer 2027)

But that’s ok because the Barrel of Monkeys shop is now a new photo location for Woody! It’s lovely and it all makes sense now – please keep it. A nice little detail, it features the wand from “TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure” !

And also at Disney Adventure World – these mysterious boxes.

This and That..

The new Disneyland Paris brochure for arrivals April 1, 2027 to March 31, 2028 is available. It features the latest on Disney Adventure World and Disney Village but absolutely NOTHING on #DisneylandParis35 except that little sentence again on page 4. You can download it HERE

And packages for stays in the renovated Disney Sequoia Lodge rooms are now on sale for arrivals from February 19, 2027 on the official website. Disney took the occasion to show some of the art that will be displayed in the rooms.

And that’s our big update this week! So much preparation for the next few months which will be exciting for sure. Thank you for reading and following along each day, I will see you back here soon for a new update!
